Tom (4 years old), Suzanne (8) and Derek (10) spend the weekend with their grandparents. But nothing is as usual: Grandpa seems to be elsewhere; Tom wonders where Grandma has gone, she who always tells him incredible stories; Derek is hard at work renovating the old apple tree hut. So following in the footsteps of her ancestor, Suzanne improvises herself as a storyteller to illuminate the house with imaginary and wonderful stories and try to fill the absence of Grandmother. The movie is an adaptation of three tales written by Arnost Goldflam.

She thinks she's done with men for good, but meeting her old love, Pavel, hits her in the heart. A new girl, Evička, joins Honzík in kindergarten. Honzík experiences the feelings associated with love for the first time, he does not fully understand them, so he gathers advice from his mother, grandfather Josef or sympathetic uncle Karel. He also meets love in kindergarten when he falls in love with Honzík's teacher, Eliška. And to add to the rapprochement, Karl's basset Váleček gets along very well with Elišča's basset Šalina.

The shadow of a great dragon circles above the royal castle, Princess Caroline tries on a black mourning dress while crying, and a few invited princes feast in the courtyard. Over a good meal, they discuss what should be done. The first prince suggests offering the dragon a few hundred subjects instead of the princess, the second believes that the kingdom has neglected prevention and that the dragon should be dissuaded, and the third prince has composed a song about it. But none of them wants to face the dragon...

At the water sprite and water nymph school, classes proceed as planned until the water nymphs leave for a dance competition and the water sprites accompany them to cheer them on. Only Vrbata, a notorious troublemaker, remains at the school as punishment. While exploring the cabinet, he carelessly awakens an octopus with living water. Upon the school trip's return, the octopus manages to capture the headmaster and begins to threaten the entire school. At the same time, the vagrant Mikolášek breaks into the school, so the water sprites, water nymphs, and teaching staff must not only fight the sea monster but also solve the problem of how to get rid of him. Unfortunately, nothing goes according to plan, and the octopus gradually captures everyone except the clumsiest water nymph, Křehulová. The situation begins to look hopeless. Fortunately, Mikolášek comes up with a plan and, together with Křehulová, tries to bring it to a successful conclusion...
Lojzička is a quirky princess from Enykytánie who is more interested in physical education and her parrot Ferda than in her princess duties. And to make matters worse for her parents, the water sprite Bonifác chooses her as his bride and threatens to destroy the entire kingdom. Lojzička refuses to give in, runs away to join a troupe of actors, and becomes a famous tightrope walker. However, she is unable to escape her fate—in the end, she must deal with both the water sprite and her role as future queen. Fortunately, she discovers true love, makes good friends, and also realizes that everything must be learned and that there is always a silver lining...
