True Love, For Once in My Life

Mostly shot on phone. In this melodrama produced by Fruit Chan, art director and scriptwriter Siu Koon-ho makes his feature directorial debut with an exploration of traditional marriage. Tracing the lifelong relationship between two lovers who aren't necessarily meant to be, the film boasts powerhouse performances by seasoned actors Cecilia Yip and Tse Kwan-ho. The couple's marriage falters when Andrew pursues his career in mainland China in the 90s. After many years, Sabrina finally comes to terms with their separation and moves on following her retirement. However, her new life is shattered by the news of Andrew's serious illness.

The Remnant

Wah was a hot-headed gangster until he was sent to prison for a triad murder. Upon his release, he opens a laundry shop in an old district where his estranged wife was last seen. Wah's peaceful days end when greedy developers show up in his neighbourhood eager to buy off a rundown building. Upstart gangster Happy promises to evict all tenants by any force necessary. Wah tries to look the other way until Fa, one of the residents in the building, and her son are attacked by delirious drug addicts. Despite his age, Wah decides to protect the building's helpless tenants by recruiting a group of rehabilitated gangsters to fend off the hostile aggressors. This film is supported by The Joseph Lau Luen Hung Charitable Trust and produced by the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers.

Memories Beyond Horizon

“Memories Beyond Horizon” is a Chinese reality TV show , created to spotlight emerging domestic talent in film and TV. Produced in collaboration with Zhejiang Television, Alibaba’s Youku video service, and Hong Kong’s TVB, the show features veteran film and television figures mentoring a group of 18 artists from both the mainland and Hong Kong. Each episode focuses on reinterpreting iconic scenes from classic Hong Kong films such as “Infernal Affairs” and “New Dragon Gate Inn” for their acting challenges. Among the mentors are renowned Hong Kong directors and actors, including Yee Tung-sing and Francis Ng Chun-yu, while participants include graduates from professional acting schools, industry veterans, and individuals known for modeling, singing, or high-profile relationships.

Drifting

Just out of jail, Fai finds a spot on a street corner where other homeless people welcome him. But he doesn’t get much time to settle in. The police soon chase them away, and their possessions disappear into a garbage truck. Young social worker Ms Ho thinks it’s time to fight this in court. In the meantime, Fai and his friends have other concerns.
