A story about Hannah (Anna Åström), a young woman who is very shy on the outside, but whose inner world is deep, exciting and vibrant. One day, Hannah notices a house that looks as if it is cut out from a hip home decorating magazine. Intrigued, she decides to break in and try to find out who owns this emotionless beautiful home equipped with high-end technology. While at first Hannah enjoys the luxury, she starts to notice on each visit that Max (Stipe Erceg), the owner of the house, is excessively obsessed with his physical possessions. He has spent a lot of time to make sure that everything external meets the society’s standards that he has forgotten himself. The things that he himself likes, the activities that make him smile, and the people who make him happy. Having realised that, Hannah starts leaving hints for Max, so as to shake him out of the the everyday emptiness and make him focus on what is important.
For 25 years, restorer Willibald Adrian Metzger has heard nothing from his former schoolmates. Then he suddenly stumbles - quite literally - over the corpse of a former classmate who had bullied him in a cruel way in his school days. When Metzger arrives at the scene with the police, he can't believe his eyes: the body is gone. Against his nature and spurred on by Danjela's curiosity, the former eccentric organizes a class reunion to uncover the cover-up of the bloody deed. His former classmates are astounded by the eloquence of the actually shy outsider, who uses his sharp mind and great powers of deduction to twist their words around in their mouths...

Small children have to renounce Satan, a young woman is brutally exorcized and later proclaimed a saint by Pöschl.

1905: Syphilis and prostitution flourish in a small town somewhere in the Danube monarchy. In the midst of the night stands Marie, a young prostitute, who has learned how to live in this shady environment. Marie's encounters with johns have many faces; notorious bon vivants, an old man who brings cake from his wife, and Count Albin, a lofty gentleman whose behavior is very strange. Before Marie sleeps with him, she must tie a blue band with white dots around her thigh. The next day she encounters the Count shopping with his twelve year old daughter, Anna. It's apparent that Anna who wears a blue band with white dots in her hair is afraid of her father. Marie is deeply touched by Anna's emotional state which provokes her curiosity about the child. As she investigates Anna's situation Marie's humanity is revealed. It's ironic that a girl, Anna, of noble origins finds a motherly role model in Marie the prostitute.
