There is no place for fantasies in the life of lawyer Pyotr Bezuglov. His life is nothing but rules, which he strictly observes. One day, his son Vanechka finds the letters that Pyotr wrote to Santa Claus as a child and puts them in the New Year's mailbox. In the morning, all of Bezuglov's childhood wishes begin to come true and not only Pyotr himself is in danger, but also his family and, possibly, the whole world.
Based on real events. November 1943. The Nazis bring a new batch of Soviet orphans to Vyritsa, where a so-called "children's shelter" is set up in a former pioneer camp. The conditions here are unbearable: cold, hunger, forced labor, a punishment cell for disobedience, and execution for attempting to escape. But the worst thing is that children are used as blood donors for wounded Germans. Despite all the horror and inconceivability of what is happening, having united, the young heroes find the strength and courage to resist and decide to escape.
The action takes place in the Leningrad Region on the territory of a naval camp located on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, where young men from all over the country came to take entrance exams and undergo a young fighter course to fulfill their dream of becoming naval sailors. Fate will test their friendship with first love and unexpected betrayal. But despite everything, the heroes will always make decisions guided by humanity, self-esteem and nobility.
Khabarovsk region. Taiga. Pavel Likhovtsev, a senior ranger and bear hunter, keeps an apiary in the taiga and brings up his eldest son Zhenya as a real peasant. However, with the advent of the nineties, the apiary is ruined. Pavel and his family are forced to go to Khabarovsk in search of a better life.
