Kinetopsia, a disorder in which one believes that static objects are in motion, serves as a metaphor for the social situation we find ourselves in: the Velvet Revolution took place thirty-five years ago, and while the opaque present continues to bring new problems, public discussion often still revolves around the hunt for the "spectre of communism". From the perspective of a young couple, we discover the fascinating project of Sylvia's abandoned Discoland and become aware of the critical moments of the political transformation that has determined the economic and cultural conditions in which we live today.
A detective micro-story, which is a study of a young policeman who, despite being overlooked by his colleagues, embarks on a new similar case of an abused girl, and thus uncovers a case that was originally closed... The young director Igor Savičevič is a recent graduate of the FAMO in Písek. The script for his film Behind the Cross was created in close pedagogical cooperation with the school and the dramaturgy of the Czech Television - but also essential was the cooperation and consultation with the Czech police, who drew the author's attention to the important way of constructing interrogations of the accused and the methods of conducting the interrogation - from a simple detective story of a kidnapping it became an interesting picture of the investigation process.
It is the spring of 1948. The joy of peace has not yet faded, and both East and West are already afraid of World War III. Both worlds are separated from each other by the deep forests of Šumava. Twenty-four-year-old cook Josef Hasil serves in the kitchen of the National Security Corps in Zvonková. Wild boy. He had already experienced the war in a German labor camp and as a link between partisans. Now he longs above all for fun, adventure, freedom. The last thing he cares about is politics.
