Jonas Heinrich, in charge of public relations in the National People’s Army of East Germany, is appointed as the organizer of a concert featuring West German pop star Nadia Schneider. Helmut Wolff, a former classmate of Jonas from university and a member of the secret police, is tasked with monitoring the two of them.
