RIZIN 43 live from the Makomanai Sekisui Heim Arena in Sapporo, Japan. The event has been somewhat overshadowed by the colossal Rizin vs Bellator 2 event just around the corner. While not having the star power of the July’s copromotion Rizin’s inaugural venture into Hokkaido is stacked with intriguing, well matched fights that promise a bit of everything. 13 matches grace the main card with an additional 4 preliminaries, showcasing the caliber of fighters fans have come to expect.
Notable RIZIN names Yusuke Yachi and Tsuyoshi Sudario were among the 14 names announced for RIZIN 39 on Wednesday. The new matchups are joining a card that take place on October 23rd at the Marine Messe Fukuoka Hall A in Fukuoka, Japan. Yachi will have a tough challenge in his attempt to snap a losing streak. He is being paired up against South African lightweight talent Boyd Allen, who will be fighting in the promotion for the first time. Allen has a pro record that includes 16 wins through 21 appearances. He has fought numerous times in notable regional promotion EFC since 2012.
RIZIN 24 live from the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. The promotion’s 28th event features a sold-out attendance of just 5,000 people due to government restrictions in place during the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In the night’s headliner, promotional superstar and Japanese combat-sports phenom Tenshin Nasukawa looks to remain undefeated when he takes on former K-1 title challenger Kouzi. The 22-year-old kickboxing prodigy seeks to add to an already impressive legacy in only his second bout of the year. Meanwhile, Kouzi is set to compete for the first time since leaving K-1 on a three-fight winning streak.
RIZIN 22 is heavy on quality kickboxing and women’s MMA, while also featuring a lightweight showdown between Yusuke Yachi and Roberto de Souza. The lineup also includes Ayaka Hamasaki, Kanna Asakura, Naoki Inoue, Yoshinari Nadaka and Rui Ebata.

In the night’s headliner, boxing great Floyd Mayweather Jr. competes in the country of Japan for the first time in a three-round boxing exhibition with Japanese prodigy Tenshin Nasukawa, who is undefeated as a professional combat-sports athlete. The co-headliner features two of the best bantamweights in the world. Bellator bantamweight champion Darrion Caldwell challenges Kyoji Horiguchi for the inaugural RIZIN bantamweight title.
RIZIN 12 live from the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium in Nagoya, Japan, for the first time. The main event of the evening features the consensus No. 1 lightweight in RIZIN, Yusuke Yachi, taking on late-replacement opponent Luiz Gustavo. Yachi rides a six-fight winning streak into the ring following wins against UFC veterans Diego Nunes, Takanori Gomi and Daron Cruickshank. Gustavo comes in with a lengthy winning streak of his own into his promotional debut. Gustavo has stoppages in all eight of his professional wins.
RIZIN hold its first event of the year on May 6, with RIZIN 10 in the promotion’s second trip to the Marine Messe Fukuoka in Fukuoka, Japan. Japan’s best MMA fighter today, Kyoji Horiguchi, continues to set out to prove his worth on the world stage when he takes on the former consensus No.1 flyweight in the world, Ian McCall. In the co-headliner of the evening, teenage kickboxing phenom Tenshin Nasukawa returns to the ring against WSOF flyweight champion Yusaku Nakamura. The 19-year-old super prospect Nasukawa has defeated all 29 opponents in his pro career across MMA, kickboxing and Muay Thai rules, including 23 victories by way of stoppage.
