Bohus is indolent and spends his days drinking brandy. One day he finds he has inherited a brickworks, several shops and a five-star hotel. Bohus sets out to tour his new empire, insulting everyone on the way.
Tankový prapor (Tank Battalion) is a Czech comedy film. It was released in 1991. The movie represented the first privately produced movie in Czech Republic. It was a blockbuster. Today, the movie is perceived as a classic, it is the most acclaimed movie of his creator, director Vit Olmer, it starred Lukáš Vaculík, a popular star of youth movies in the main role, as well as the by-then well received comedian Miroslav Donutil.
The drama called I Love, You Love was made in 1980 but because of the absurd ideological ban, the film entered cinemas nine years later. Pišta is an unmarried man who works at a freight wagon which carries letters and parcels. Alcohol helps him to overcome his handicap of being short and not good-looking. He wishes he had a woman, but the woman he really wants, ageing Viera who reloads the cargoes, has a soft spot for another man. So, Pišta has nobody and nothing, except for senile mother who sometimes fails to recognize him. The film received Silver Bear for Best Director at the International Film Festival in Berlin.
Zatímco Kendy se jako pomocný režisér vrací do rodného města natáčet s televizním štábem třináctidílný seriál, Štěpán Šafránek, vybaven po promoci maminčinými radami, nastupuje na své první místo - na internu zdejší nemocnice. Jeho nepřizpůsobivost místním poměrům a smysl pro etiku zvoleného povolání však příliš nevyhovuje ostatním už zaběhnutým kolegům. Zatímco ti se škodolibě baví jeho horlivostí a zodpovědností, Štěpán má stále větší problémy s nadřízenými, až je nakonec přesunut na všemi odmítané místo venkovského obvodního lékaře. A new patient enters the psychiatric sanatorium Sluneční dvůr. It is a high school Czech professor Robert Kilian, suffering from depressive neurasthenia, which manifests itself in a morbid indecision. His biggest problem at the moment is that he doesn't know if he should marry his girlfriend. He soon gets to know the other patients, the treatment regimen and the medical staff...
In the pre-WWI Austro-Hungarian Empire, an older officer (Capt. Kunze) investigates a brilliant junior officer (Lt. Dorfrichter) suspected of complicity in a murder by poisoning.
The popular Moravanka brass band performs at the fair. Vasek Pivoňka, the bandleader of the local brass band Kulatěnky, which broke up, decides to put the band back together. The village musicians are sceptical at first, but later they start rehearsing with vigour. Standa, a Prague resident who is working in a pig farm to cure his nerves, helps them to organise the concert. He really likes Evica Kocourková, but her father keeps an eye on her. Young Šišák tries to charm the teacher Olina. Before the performance can begin, the band must succeed before the cultural committee. However, they fail to do so. The disappointed musicians play for themselves at the station and suddenly they are successful. Standa comes up with an idea how to push Kulatěnka through without the permission of the commission. A concert of Moravanka is being prepared in nearby Nechvalin.
