In a dramatic social framework, the events revolve around life in a neighborhood (Darb al-Bahlawan), which is ruled by a fatwa who oppresses the poor. One of the brave young men from that family appears to stand up to this bully, to end the injustice on his family, and on the people of the neighborhood, so will he succeed?
Khalil abandons his lover, Shukriya, and refuses to marry her, even though she is pregnant. Khalil is killed and Shukriya gives birth to twins. She works as a beggar. She falls into the hands of Abbas, the chief beggar. He falls in love with her and marries her. She discovers that he is a drug dealer. Shukria informs the police and he is sentenced to prison. Shukria takes Abbas's place from prison and becomes the queen of the beggars.
The widow, Wafiya, is surprised that she has to pay a sum of money to the bank to pay off her husband's debt. Adham proposes to her daughter Farha in exchange for paying the sum, and she agrees. They agree to keep their marriage a secret. Adham dies and his father, Mahmoud, and Saeed are surprised by his marriage. Salem is a corrupt merchant who fires the simple employee Shakir, who possesses some documents that incriminate Salem. During the pursuit by Salem's men to retrieve the documents, Shakir hides them in Dr. Aida's clinic without her knowing, and he is killed by Salem's men. His body was dumped on the road after being stripped of anything that could identify him. Salem calls one of his associates to kill the doctor.

The film revolves around Dalal (Laila Elwi), a beautiful young woman who is in a love affair with Salem (Farouk El-Fishawy), but the big businessman Fikry (Salah Zulfikar) is always chasing her and asking her to marry him. When she tries to convince Salem to marry her to escape Fikry's pursuit, he refuses, so she is forced to marry his brother Atwa (Hussein Fahmy). Events unfold, and Atwa discovers his brother and his wife's betrayal, so he tries to take revenge on them, so Dalal runs away to Fikry to seek refuge with him.
