The protagonist Andrii Dovzhenko finds out a horrible truth, that has been hidden in USSR for years - most of those accused of «anti-Soviet propaganda» were never sent to prison, but to special psychiatric hospitals with a diagnosis of "slow progressive schizophrenia". Andrii finds himself in a real hell of punitive psychiatry and faces a difficult choice - to cooperate with the KGB and return to his family, or to reveal the truth about dissidents tortured in such psychiatric hospitals. The script was based on the memoirs of Soviet dissidents who faced the brutality of a totalitarian system that used so-called "punitive psychiatry" as a weapon against free thought.
A year and a half after her husband's assassination by a criminal gang, a death threat looms over Tamara. Her best friend Boris is also a police officer. Driven by a desire to solve the murder and his secret love for Tamara, he starts an investigation.

The special feature of this film was the unusual story of its creation. The director invited actors to the casting. They tried and demonstrated their skills, but in fact, they had already acted in Shapiro's films. Thus, the film consists of 37 independent episodes.
Story of a successful businessman, who has to protect his business in difficult conditions. He gets entrapped into the net of law enforcement structures and after arrest the protagonist starts to notice weird things: some of his interlocutors appear to be not real persons, but phantoms, created by his consciousness. Fantomness, dematerialization of things that are obvious for common sense brings the author to the next stage of thinking - that the illusion of fear is also fruit of our imagination.
