A young man works for a chauffeur company and is given the job of driving the favorite daughter of a Qatari prince who is to undergo an operation in Germany. He and the open-hearted woman grow closer, but then the patriarch's health causes their planned wedding to be brought forward. Carefully constructed character drama that is less about culture clash or a love story than about an elegy to ideals of masculinity and the principles of western capitalism. The melancholic character of the film is underlined by cool images.
A solar system in which the end of history has already been surpassed: people allow themselves to be ruled by computer reason – ActualSanity – which keeps the community of planets in an harmonious ideal state. Political processes no longer seem to be necessary in this AI-driven, totalitarian and cosy government; instead, identity-forming collectives distinguish themselves from each other solely by subtle behavioural differences. Until a threat looms on the horizon: the Broken Hearts Collective disquiets the solar system with terrorist attacks – a development at the centre of which Marten Eliot and Emma Glendale, young head fellows of the Dolphin Collective, unexpectedly find themselves.
After separating from Lisa, Jiri has to fight not to lose his son Victor. In his desperation, he has no choice but to kidnap him and sells the escape to him as an adventure trip based on a jointly invented story about two little animals on their way to the magical land of Padulim. Victor goes along, but wishes his mother was there.
