At the Café René in the small French commune of Nouvion everything is as usual. Chaos. René himself is trying to keep a straight face in a dangerous game. Of course he has to stay on the good side of the Germans in order to not get in trouble. He also has to do the same thing with his wife Edith for the same reason. For completely different reasons he stays on the good side of his waitresses Mimi and Yvette. At least when Edith isn't around.
The series is named after a small part of Saltsjöbaden called Solsidan. It revolves around Alex and Anna who are expecting their first child and have just moved to Alex's childhood home in Saltsjöbaden, Stockholm County. Alex tries to get Anna to enjoy herself, and at the same time spend time with his childhood friend Fredde.
The theatre 7:3 project was conducted at the Tidaholm prison 1998-1999. What started as an artistic experiment, ended up in police killings at Malexander. The process in the prison were filmed during 6 months.
Depicts the controversial double police murder, involving neo-nazism and a theatre project by one of Scandinavia's most celebrated playwrights. The film traces a complex and fascinating chain of events leading up to the fatal climax in the picturesque small town of Malexander, Sweden.
