A crime drama series following the work of a fictional regional criminal police unit investigating cases in the unique Záhorie region. Vojtech is going through a mid-life crisis. It seems to him that he is unnecessary in this world in every respect. He has lost his wife, his job, he has no contact with his family. His neighbour Laco, a peculiar taxi driver, becomes his guide through life. However, their trips usually end in fiasco. Vojtech wants to live a normal life, but his inability to face the hectic modern times brings many comedy plots. He cannot enjoy the company of easy women, his daily attempts at alcoholic intoxication and advice on how to pick up a woman also end in disaster. However, he doesn't give up and believes that he will break his bad luck.

A psychological drama of a high-profile family in the 1920s. András Erdély, the son of an influential MP, is placed in a psychiatric sanatorium to escape punishment for the murder of his wife. Through his memories and intimate confessions, the viewer gets to know the atmosphere of the house ruled by his despotic father, the son's journey from "better society" to a social career and uncovers the secret of his sexual deviations, everything that led András, a mentally disturbed man, to crime. The story of love, morbid passion and hatred is also a questioning of the roots of evil in man, of responsibility for one's own actions and of the limits of tolerance and medical ethics.
