Centenarian Home is a nursing home and elderly day care centre managed by Aunty Shan (Sze Kei Lee). The residents come from all walks of life, each with their own stories to tell. What secrets does the model resident of the nursing home hide? Why is a cheeky grandfather with many grandchildren staying in the nursing home? What does a long lost son hope to gain from a father suffering from dementia? Why does an old architect with a seemingly good life keep telling lies? When Aunty Shan was diagnosed with a terminal illness, she decides to pass the management of her beloved nursing home to a newly recruited nurse Xin Xin (Rui En). Without much experience coupled with her own set of personal problems, can Xin Xin rise to the occasion and hold the fort until Aunty Shan is back?

Interior Designer Moon Sing Hong purchases a flat in anticipation of marrying his longtime girlfriend who is expected to be returning home soon after studying abroad. Without his knowledge or permission his older sister rents out his flat to popular Cantonese opera singer Kan Kit. Unable to break the rental lease, Sing Hong uses all kinds of tactics to try to make Kan Kit move out but her manager Lin Sau fong helps her stand firm. When Sing Hong's best friend and business partner Tin Hak kan, meets Kit he develops an instant attraction to her and ask Sing Hong to help him pursue Kit. In order to help his friend with love Sing Hong gets close to Kit to find out about her interests. The two soon work out their differences and become friends. The TV station's senior director Xia Chang (Chen Zhanpeng) is preparing to shoot a new live show, recording the Hong Kong youth Zhang Junjie (Ruan Zhengfeng) from the city back to the mainland to experience the real life of rural life. Due to the lack of manpower in the TV station, the day manager hired Xu Meifeng (played by Huang Cuiru), a new entrant, as an assistant, and his friend Liang Zhongxin (played by Mai Changqing) as a photographer.

The Stew of Life

Upon returning from a trip with her husband NG MAN TAK (Chung King Fai), cookery teacher LO SIU LAI (Lee Sze Kei, Louise) is shocked to find that her little daughter NG CHOI NI (Chen Fala) has started cohabiting with a homosexually inclined colleague LAU TAT YAN (Hung Tin Ming) while her divorced sister LO SIU MEI (Ng Wing Mei) is seemingly caught up in a love triangle between tenant YAU KAI (Mak Cheung Ching) and her ex-husband. By and by TAK is forced to retire early and stays at home all day with nothing to do. LAI, on the other hand, is lucky enough to have the opportunity to host a culinary show on TV. Everything seems to have happened too fast but this does not leave LAI frustrated and accursed. Instead she tries to get round every problem with even more patience and dedication, which however is not appreciated by TAK. The bickering continues until LAI eventually thinks of a good way to tackle TAK…
