Horst Krause picks up a girl on the wintry country road and brings her back to the "Kinderhaus Sonnenschein" in the neighboring village. This sets a series of events in motion that brings a few guests, big and small, to the country inn in Schönhorst during the Advent season.
This time, Krause is scared when there are changes all around the village. How can he stop the passage of time?

A couple have disappeared without a trace on their way home after a medieval festival. This calls not only the officers from Brandenburg onto the scene, but also the currently sidelined investigator Lucy and her former colleague Hannah. During their investigations, they come across the widowed Harald Kurtz and his father-in-law Meckenstock, who live on an outlying farm. Meanwhile, Hannah suffers from hallucinations and finds out more about the family.
For doctor Malu, her new partner Hannes is simply perfect. But appearances are deceptive. As Malu gets involved in the relationship, she notices more and more strange things about Hannes. He turns up at her practice without being asked and interferes in Malu's professional affairs. He also intrudes more and more and then disappears again without a word. Malu finally breaks up with Hannes. But it's not over for him yet. Only now does Malu realize that he wants to have control over her life. Neither her private life nor her professional life are safe from him. Hannes gains access to her house, tampers with her computer and photographs her in her sleep. To make matters worse, Hannes even places an obituary for Malu. The police are powerless against the stalker as he leaves no trace. So Malu decides to stop him herself...

The little witch is only 127 years old – too young for the annual coven of witches. Although she is not yet old enough to be a real witch she wants to become a really good one. This decision causes trouble inside her magic world.

Albert has been abandoned by his wife and does not know how to proceed. But why does the sailor end up in Schönhorst of all places? Strange hints awaken buried memories - could it be that the liaison that Krause had with a circus artist in the summer of 1961 was not without consequences?
Undine rescues a prince from drowning, and leaves him unconscious on shore, where he can be found, but she has already fallen in love with him. Unable to enjoy life below the waves, the mermaid makes a deal with the Sea Witch to become human. The mermaid must also give her voice as payment. And her humanity is only conditional: if she can make the prince fall in love with her and marry her, she can gain a share in his soul and be truly human, but if he marries another, she will die at the next sunrise. It turns out that the witch only made her believe she would die if the prince married another as a Secret Test of Character: by refusing to kill the prince even to save her own life, she proves that she already has a soul. So she remains human, gets her voice back, and sets out to explore the world.
