High school graduate Max Höfel arrives at the Fuchs & Kilali detective agency distraught: his girlfriend Leonie has been run over by a car and the police believe it was a hit-and-run accident. Max, on the other hand, believes it was murder and hires the two detectives to find the culprit. Leonie used to work in Max's uncle Lukas Bender's amusement arcade. Anne and Youssef find out that dirty mafia money is laundered there. When a large sum of money is found in Leonie's estate, Inspector Eisner is also convinced that a violent crime has been committed. Did Leonie want to expose her employer - is that why she had to die? Max's mother Marina protects her brother Lukas. He would never be capable of murder! A deep rift runs through the Höfel family, behind whose façade Anne and Youssef have to look in order to finally solve the case.
Veterinarian Britta has recently separated from her boyfriend and is open to a new beginning, preferably in Brittany, where she spends the summer vacation with a befriend couple. After a rain shower, she unexpectedly stumbles upon her idyllic dream house, only to run over the fisherman Yves with her bike in her blissfulness. Unfortunately, Yves also wants to buy the house that is up for sale in an anonymous bidding process. He and his father can no longer make a living from fishing, and he wants to build up a second source of income in the form of holiday apartments. The empty neighboring house would be ideal for this. At first, Yves finds Britta more annoying than nice. But she gains ground with her fearless and positive nature. When Yves finds out who his opponent in the bidding process is, he tries to badmouth his beautiful home area in presence of the German doctor. Everything would be so much easier if it weren't for those darn feelings. House or love, that is the question now.
Youssef's niece Saida finds her boyfriend, the young doctor Hagen Hoffmann, slain in their shared apartment. Based on the victim's computer activities, the police assume that the crime was committed in a drug environment.
Who is "Kalinka08"? In a chat message, she reports about experiences of violence in the family. A fake? Or does she urgently need help? Sofia and her friends are worried. Despite the Corona-lockdown, they arrange to meet and forge a plan to find Kalinka.
