The godless, rough-necked Ludwig Bruckmeier has repeatedly maneuvered himself into prison. Thanks to a generous donation, he is now being accommodated by his energetic probation officer Christine Wurzelbacher in Pastor Gabriel Gottwald's rectory, of all places. The man of God wants to bring the reluctant Ludwig onto the right path with the help of his kind pastoral advisor Elisabeth. But Ludwig turns the church, including the rectory and retirement home, upside down. He doesn't stop at the confessional either. There he has a lucrative encounter with Josef Wurzelbacher, the troubled husband of his probation officer.
The Munich LKA officer Sandra Rutkowski received an anonymous call in which a star tenor from the Munich State Opera was accused of molesting children. A boy brought to him is said to be locked in the cloakroom of the singer, who is still being celebrated on the stage. When Sandra and the Munich inspector Lukas Laim break down the door to the cloakroom, they find an intimidated, apathetic boy in the closet.
Milan, a Slovak working in Germany as a bricklayer, returns home to celebrate Christmas with his wife and three children, one of whom appears to be involved in suspicious activities related to an extremist organization.
45-year-old Rieke Bauer wants to work for the travel company run by her family. Because she can drive and has no problems with longer routes, she is hired as a bus driver. She manages to get all the passengers to Athens unharmed on the first trip, but then disaster strikes: one day after arriving, she discovers that the bus has been stolen. That wouldn't be so bad if Rieke had parked the vehicle in the guarded parking lot and the insurance would cover the loss. However, she has parked directly in front of the hotel and therefore forfeited her right to compensation. In this awkward situation, the Greek Yannis stands by her side - and the driver urgently needs help, because her sister and an insurance agent soon turn up...
