In this chaos some villagers and Seo-Hee, Chi-Su's daughter leave their village for Buk Kan Do.
As a chief of town is dispatched to Mil-Yang and each time the chief dies on the first day, the government looks for a volunteer to be the chief of Mil-Yang regardless of social position. So Chil-Deok, a peddler, takes that job. As night falls, a ghost appears and asks him to resolve her resentment. Her story is this : Her name is Arang, and she is daughter of former chief of town Jeong Yun-Seo. She is in love with Kim, son of a ruined noble family. As her father is angry at their love, Yoon Do-Seung makes an ill use of Jeong's wrath. Kim is killed in Yoon's trap and Arang is too killed when she tris to run away. Chil-Deok takes Arang's body out of a well and punishes Yoon Do-Seung to resolve her resentment. After that he leaves the town.
June 25, 1950. When second lieutenant Jang has a date with his girl friend during weekend, numerous North Korean jet fighters make sudden air raids to the skies of Seoul. It is the beginning of Korean War. In spite of Korean Army's brave defense, North Korean army reddens South Korea with their state-of-the-art weapons. This movie describes the progress of war from the invasion in June 25, 1950 to the reclamation of territory on the basis of Sun-A's personal experience. Also this film reminds hard lessons from tragic history.
In 1581, the monk Seo-san predicts that the Japanese are planning an invasion of Korea. He goes to the king, suggesting that the kingdom build a stronger army, but he is thrown out of court. He begins training three pupils in martial arts, but rumors reach the king that Seo-san is training an army. The king sends his soldiers to have the monk arrested
A man who left his wife to study for a government exam happens to see a drowning woman in a mountain and rescues her. To thank him she takes him home deep in the mountain. He ends up staying with her for years, putting his study behind. But she learns that the woman he saved from the drowning sea was a vampire. Meanwhile his wife finds where her husband is with the Buddha's revelation, kills the vampire and brings him back safely to their home.
