A new documentary film revisits the golden age of kung fu stuntmen and action directors in Hong Kong during the 1960s-'80s, exploring their pain and struggles. The documentary is a tribute to kung fu stuntmen. “They risked their lives for stunts,” said kung fu choreographer Yuen Bin. In their heyday, these stuntmen and choreographers presented the best, most creative and most complicated kung fu fight sequences anywhere in the world, creating stunts that looked seemingly impossible.
Siu Sheung (Juno Mak) is a solitary and frustrated young man. He works as a delivery boy at a small noodle shop and lives with his mother (Pat Ha) in a large, dilapidated Kowloon housing estate. Spirit of the Dragon is a Hong Kong TV series based on famous martial artist Bruce Lee. The 30 episode series was released on ATV in 1992. Bruce Lee was obsessed with martial arts and often fought, and his father Li Baichuan decided to send him to study in the United States. Later, Xiaolong opened the Zhenfan Martial Arts Hall in Chinatown, and was trained by the former boxing king Yan Xingnan, during which he realized Jeet Kune Do Kung Fu. Xiaolong's girlfriend was mistakenly killed by Gao Tianpeng, and the two formed a grudge. Xiaolong returned to Hong Kong after marriage to develop, but met Tianpeng for revenge.
