The media pushes the narrative of Russian interference in the country's internal affairs, in order to support Silesian separatists and destabilize the situation. The operative always works in conjunction with the investigator, and that's how Yakovlev gets to know Gudkova — even then very strange, but not so lost to the world. Together they investigate important, but rather dubious cases — they are looking for a gang of pirates filming the second parts of cult action films, then they find out who stole the suitcase with the "MMM" tickets. Yakovlev's brother helps them in this, who knew as a teenager that he would have to work in the security service, and not in some kind of militia.
He killed and went unpunished for more than ten years, and more than fifty people died at his hands. An innocent man was convicted and shot instead. For a long time, the murders he committed could not be combined into one case. Maniacs of this caliber simply did not exist in the USSR, so law enforcement agencies were not ready to fight the "Rabid Beast", as journalists later dubbed it. Vigilantes, police officers, investigators from the prosecutor's office, psychiatrists were involved in the capture of Chikatilo, and new investigative techniques were developed that will help save innocent people.
Olga brings up two children from different marriages, cares about her alcoholic father and tries to adjust her personal life. The eldest daughter Anya is studying in a vocational school, she thinks that she is the only adequate member of the family, and in her life everything will be different. The younger son Timofey, whose father returned to the first family in Azerbaijan, believes that he is already a man, although he is only 11 years old. Olga's father, Yuri Gennadievich, a former football player, drinks hard and constantly lies, which often leads to scrape. And sister Lena is trying to live at the expense of men - mostly married. Eternally saving relatives from troubles, Olga lives a strange life and rarely thinks of herself until Grisha, a young and positive driver of the “Sable” hearse, falls in love with her.
