Solveig, a Norwegian, a former successful actress who no longer works, lives alone in a large house with her cats. Her sister, worried about her, suggests that she rent one of her rooms to Nefis, a young Ethiopian photographer who has just arrived in Norway. By moving in with Solveig, she tries to preserve her space from the invasion of the cats. Her relationship with Solveig starts to deteriorate. Nefis then takes refuge in writing. Solveig secretly follows the evolution of the manuscript and discovers herself by identifying with the character. During these readings, an interaction is created between her own reality and that of the character.
