The stern Police Superintendent Liu played by Chu Chiang sets the stage for his later role in John Woo's The Killer while new comer Fei Hsiang must do Serpico-like things to find out which cop is paid for by the mob.
Male chauvinist Ah Wai often boasts of his wife's submission to him. He even persuades her to pretend to be obedient in the presence of his friends who are impressed. This leads to a separation when his wife's older spinster sister comes to know of it. Despondent, he moves to an old house only to find that it is haunted.
