Each episode focuses on a serial killer. The main character, Colonel Piet van der Bijl, also known as Die Byl, is loosely modeled on the famous ex-detective Piet Byleveld.
The story is about 17-year-old Hendri who is forced to end up on the doorstep of his senile, withdrawn grandfather in a retirement home. Hendri soon realizes that there are so many more secrets hidden here than he could ever guess and that the biggest secret of all may just cost him the love of his life.

It's a situation comedy built around the actors Lida and Johan Botha, who make their appearance as Stanley and Deborah Vermeulen, or Grandpa and Grandma. It deals with various aspects of growing older and their adjustment to be grandparents.
