Jun Aisaka seduces one woman after another. His victims were flirtatious married woman Noriko, student Keiko, widow Mitsuko and dancer Rumi. As a result, he ends up in prison, but after escaping with another prisoner, he continues his criminal adventures with a partner. It is clear that this will not end well. Moreover, a couple of detectives are already on the trail of the criminals.

Set in the Edo Era, the film opens with a group of women being convicted of various crimes. The rest of the film is given to graphic depiction of the tortures the women endure as part of their sentences.
Caught up in the swirling tide of student protests and riots, a young man becomes the unintentional murderer of a policeman. Handcuffed and enroute to jail, he escapes from the authorities and comes across a young woman on the beach, who is intent on committing suicide. The two embark on a passionate and violent affair.
Yōko is a young woman who is forced into prostitution by a yakuza gang. She repeatedly escapes from the gang, and is repeatedly captured, and repeatedly tortured at length.
Yuko has a rendezvous with her old boyfriend who has just returned to Tokyo. Blackmailers with evidence of this transgression force Yuko to work as a call girl to pay them. Yuko becomes the client of a foreigner who is in the employ of her husband, a prominent businessman.
A young wife is murdered by her husband who drugged her and left her on a railway. Her severed head soon starts to exact revenge on the murderer.
