Ohong Village

In the remotest corner of southern Taiwan, the sinking fisherman´s village prepares for another carnival for the god. Sheng, a man reaching his 30s, returns in disguise as an established urban elite. As the carnival escalates, Sheng confronts his persistent father who farms oysters throughout his life and the childhood buddy who always envies his fragile “successfulness.”

Life of a Mutt

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

Cheng Jie, chairman of a certain group, was instructed by a "master" to have sex with a woman to change his luck. He targeted Han Mei, a "single mother" employee of his company, and raped and injured her, leaving her in a vegetative state. Afterwards, he lied to the media that it was Han Mei who seduced him and asked his pregnant wife to cooperate in the play, successfully changing public opinion. Han Mei's sister, policewoman Qiu Yi Zhao, firmly believed that Cheng Jie was lying and started an investigation.
