Lion

A project spanning three years of production and research, Lion is a collection of 7 short films exploring the Chernobyl disaster, the nature of radiation, memory, and personal history. Conceptually arranged in to a film “album”, Lion’s seven works navigate atomic fallout and a girl’s adolescence, a dream before death, radiation as a cause and cure for cancer, masculine bravado, feminine obsession, a trip to Chernobyl amongst the death of a matriarch, and the destruction of memory. Composed of seven works, Lion is a series of films created on 16mm and hand processed with darkroom techniques that mimic the effects of radiation on film. Researched in Chernobyl, the series is a product of memories, history, pop culture and technical experiments to create visual representations of invisible forces.

John tells the story of a young male, a psychiatric hospital patient who witnesses the death of another Black male patient at the hands of white staff. Blurring the boundaries between fact and fiction, this work draws from real life cases of mentally ill Black men who have died as a result of excessive force of the State.

I Cirkus Summarum er alting som i et rigtigt cirkus - bare helt anderledes. Mens I venter på årets store cirkus oplevelse, så oplev stjernerne fra DR’s børne-tv: DR BIG BANDET med Bamse, Bruno og Signe, DR Børnekoret, Honik, Jacob Riising, Lille Nørderne, Louise hart, Sebastian Klein, Sigrid og mange flere. De slår sig løs som cirkusartister, mens musikere fra det fantastiske DR Big Bandet bakker op som cirkusorkester. Altsammen flot instrueret af Niclas Bendixen. 1½ times underholdning fra sidste års store Cirkus Summarum forestilling. Cirkus Summarum er en forestilling med masser af sjove indslag, action, artisteri og nervepirrende numre. Her er der noget at grine af og gyse over, uanset om du er tre, ti, tredive eller tres år.

The Bounty leaves Portsmouth in 1787. Its destination: to sail to Tahiti and load bread-fruit. Captain Bligh will do anything to get there as fast as possible, using any means to keep up a strict discipline. The remaining two boy ghosts compete for her attention by taking photographs of their scare victims. Their scariness is the key to popularity in the realm of ghosts. The boy ghosts are excited at the prospect of hunting their new and unusual guests, Sonic and Chip. Who will win the ultimate competition to her heart?

Nelly and Monsieur Arnaud
